This early American feature from Douglas Sirk blends elements of film noir and whodunit with mostly enjoyable results. Lucille Ball stars as a sharp, no-nonsense London dancehall hostess named Sandra who believes her friend is the latest victim of a serial killer. Charles Coburn plays a police investigator who plans to catch the killer using Sandra as bait. George Sanders plays a nightclub owner who Sandra becomes involved with even though he is the prime suspect. Lots of plot twists and plenty of chuckles with a great supporting cast that includes Cedric Hardwicke, George Zucco, and Boris Karloff!
