An insanely popular romantic comedy about an urban couple (Claudette Colbert and Fred MacMurray) who uproot themselves and go back to the land when the husband buys a farm without consulting his wife. She tries to make the best of a rural life that doesn't suit her at all. Supporting characters Ma and Pa Kettle (Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride) were so beloved they got their own spinoff series.
