1984 was a peak year for Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, and Sammo Hung. All three stars—friends since their youth at the Peking Opera School—were enjoying their most prolific period working together as a trio when they made this goofy romp of an action picture. Chan and Biao play Chinese cousins who run a fast food van in Barcelona and practice martial arts in their spare time. They team up with their buddy (Hung), a bumbling assistant to a private eye, to help a beautiful Spanish thief (Lola Forner) who just might turn out to be a countess.

The film is set in Spain because by 1984, shooting in Hong Kong had become extremely difficult because its action stars were so famous that they could not walk through the streets without getting mobbed, and the government was making it much more difficult to shoot in the city. Director Sammo Hung and producer Raymond Chow found Spanish authorities were much easier to work with. The Barcelona locations set this picture apart from many other Hong Kong action comedies. Plus, it makes for extra fun dubbing in the English language version. The dubbed accents range from "A spicey meatball" Italian to Peter-Lorre-esque Hungarian. Of course, there is plenty of slow-mo action and some amusingly staged fight scenes.
