This poor-man’s The Shining-meets-The Sixth Sense is directed by the Irish filmmaker Jim Sheridan who normally directs his own scripts of true-life stories (My Left Foot, In The Name of the Father and In America). Sheridan is clearly not the right choice for a genre picture like this, though its hard to imagine any director making much sense out of the terrible script by David Loucka, which tries desperately to be clever and spooky but is just a bag full of clichés.
