The quintessential example of a first-rate short film padded into a feature. If director Lisa Hurwitz had made a 35-45 minute movie about the rise and fall of the iconic Horn & Hardart's vending machine-style fast-food restaurants, I have no doubt it would have been nominated for an Academy Award and might have even won. Instead, this film is as much about the making of itself as it is about its subject and its insufferable. A great subject squandered!
