Blakeson's black-comedy con-artist thriller about a predatory legal guardian bilking the elderly through sinister legal means boasts a crackin’ script with a solid original premise, plenty of well-executed turns, and timely cynical themes. Unfortunately, Pike isn't quite able to make us root for the villain here, which is a requirement for this movie to really get under our skin.
