This may just be a very good, A-list-cast, feature film version of the same video every creative kid with a wide angle lens and digital editing tolls has made for the last three decades, but its the most illustrative demonstration in many years of why horror is the best genre to work in when you're starting out and have limited resources. The solid film debut of 19-year-old YouTuber Kane Parsons reminds us that, just as with Sleep No More-style immersive theater, all you really need to make a compelling, effectively creepy horror movie is access to an empty industrial building and an ability to arrange furniture in unsettling ways.
